TERMS & CONDITIONS – GA BARCELONA (LONG VERSION)
GA Barcelona is the commercial name of Arquitectura Urbana Barcelona S.L., a company registered in Spain. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “GA Barcelona” refers to Arquitectura Urbana Barcelona S.L. These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by GA Barcelona, including but not limited to guided tours, lectures, workshops, presentations and architecture-related events.
1. BOOKING AND PAYMENT
A booking is only binding upon written confirmation (via email) by GA Barcelona. Unless otherwise agreed, a 50% down payment is required upon booking and is non-refundable to the extent of the applicable cancellation fees. The final balance must be paid according to the invoice terms and, in any case, prior to the first service day. For last-minute bookings (within the applicable cancellation period), full payment is due immediately upon confirmation.
GA Barcelona reserves the right to cancel the services if payments are not received within the agreed deadlines, without liability. Dates, guides and services are not secured until payment has been received.
2. PROPOSALS AND SERVICES
Quotes are valid for 30 days. Our rates cover architecture-related services (e.g. guided tours, lectures, workshops and presentations) for groups of up to 25 participants (larger groups upon request). Certain areas or venues may require smaller group sizes or splitting the group due to regulations or capacity restrictions. Unless explicitly stated, all other costs (including transport, accommodation, catering, entrance fees, venue rentals, audio guides and third-party services) are excluded.
GA Barcelona acts solely as an intermediary for third-party services and is not liable for their performance, quality, delays, cancellations or changes. Third-party conditions and cancellation policies apply and may be more restrictive; any resulting costs or price increases will be passed on to the client.
GA Barcelona may make minor changes to the itinerary, schedule or sequence of services due to availability, weather, third-party providers or operational reasons, while maintaining the overall quality and scope of the services. GA Barcelona may also replace the assigned architect-guide, lecturer or facilitator with another qualified professional of equivalent profile if necessary.
3. CANCELLATION FEES
Cancellation fees are based on the date of written notice received by GA Barcelona prior to the scheduled start of services:
- More than 60 days: Service fee for preparation and coordination work already carried out
- 60–31 days: 25% of the total price of the services
- 30–11 days: 50% of the total price of the services
- 10 days or less: 100% of the total price of the services
All third-party costs already incurred (e.g. entrance fees, room rentals, transport, catering, permits, speakers’ fees) are payable in full according to their respective cancellation policies.
4. SAFETY, LIABILITY AND INSURANCE
Participants are responsible for their own safety and conduct. Access to buildings or sites is subject to the owner’s discretion; GA Barcelona is not liable for closures, restricted access or changes in visiting conditions.
GA Barcelona maintains professional liability insurance; however, this coverage does not extend to active construction sites. Visits to active sites are conducted entirely at the participants’ own risk; they must strictly comply with all safety regulations and maintain their own accident and health insurance.
Participants must be in suitable physical condition for the planned activity, including walking tours, site visits or activities involving stairs or uneven surfaces. Accessibility requirements must be communicated in advance; not all sites or venues are accessible.
GA Barcelona is not liable for loss, theft or damage of personal belongings. GA Barcelona’s liability for proven claims (excluding wilful misconduct or gross negligence) shall in no case exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific service.
5. CONDUCT, MEDIA AND FORCE MAJEURE
Activities start punctually; delays caused by the client or participants will shorten the service without refund or extension. The client is liable for any damage caused by participants to equipment, venues or third-party facilities.
GA Barcelona may exclude any participant whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe or inappropriate, without refund.
GA Barcelona may take photos or videos during activities for marketing and communication purposes unless the client or participants object in writing prior to the activity.
GA Barcelona may adjust, shorten or cancel services due to Force Majeure or circumstances beyond its control (including extreme weather, strikes, public restrictions, safety issues or site closures) without liability.
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All materials, content, concepts and explanations provided by GA Barcelona remain its intellectual property. Recording, reproduction or commercial use is not permitted without prior written consent.
7. JURISDICTION AND SEVERABILITY
Spanish law applies. Exclusive jurisdiction: Courts and Tribunals of Barcelona. If any provision is held invalid, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
