Smart City – 22@

This tour takes you to Barcelona’s flagship project in its quest towards new urban, architectural and environmental identities, the 22@ Innovation District and Plaça de les Glòries.

The project involves an ambitious, large scale reconversion of a former industrial neighbourhood into a central technology and knowledge-driven cluster.

The ongoing transformation of Plaça de las Glòries into a large park and much-needed green lung places great emphasis on sustainable development and the renaturation of the city.

After 20 years of development and especially in light of the Covid-19 crisis, the innovation district faces new challenges and evolves to deliver a more livable and inclusive environment.
